6 lessons to live by to find passion in your life.. My 24 hours of reminder...

Got stuck watching this new cartoon an extension of Avatar the Last Airbender it's called the Legend of Korra and you can check that out here: Click Here ...

This cartoon has a lot of wisdom in it for life just like the Last Airbender did... things like Patience, Honor, Love, Compassion etc....

This statement really resonated with me which was at the end of Season 1 when Aang speaks to her and says:

"When we hit our lowest point we are open to the greatest change." - Aang

This statement is the greatest truth and is why we see so many people that struggle greatly in life and then when they hit: "rock bottom" so to speak this is when you see tremendous change in their lives and you see the greatness that was always there start to come out in them.

It's something in the human mind th
at has to be pushed to the edge before it can see it's own greatness. It was always there and it's always been waiting for us to wake up and see it, to hear it and to love it.. to be at one with it. This is where your life is re-born again and at times we have to go through these situations over and over again before we can find this part of ourselves and be at one with it.

Here are some lessons I've learned and have been reminded of as I have watched this season of this show...

Also in the last 24 hours I've been reminded by a performance artist named Matthew Silver...i'll be adding that to this list below:

1. Always be true to you..

when you are true to you and honor who you are in our authentic state.. I can guarantee  you that your life will be enriched with amazing things and these things will continue to happen to you all the time... When you are not authentic to yourself then your life will be full of anguish, anxiety and pain... We often are not authentic because we are afraid of what people might think and what they will say.. At the end of the day and at the end of your life... want to you want to say.. You lived for you? or other peoples opinions? Which do you choose?

2. Patience...

Everything's happens when it is supposed to happen... not any sooner or any longer... so this mean it's time to practice enjoying this moment and not dwelling in the past or living in the future.. Notice how I said practice? This means if we fall back into old habits we do not beat ourselves up we continue to practice and hold ourselves accountable and help ourselves improve....

Living in the now of the moment and being authentic is expressed very powerfully by Matthew Silver in the below video.. hope you enjoy his chicken sound :) hehe

3. Live your passion

I can tell you from my own experience if I do not live my passion then I start feeling a slow death going on inside of me... almost as if all the energy and life starts to come out of me.... so this means passion gives life and not living our passion takes away life... hmmmm that's an easy one I choose LIFE!

4. Do not judge others

The argument always comes out when we talk about judgement because people automatically go to the idea that we are not to judge murderers, rapist or thieves...This is not what it means to not judge.. the individuals that commit these crimes have an accountability for their actions... when they break the law or harm another then there are consequences that come from that...

The none judgement part comes from looking down on another or spending more time analyzing their lives then working on yours...The old saying goes.. when you got 1 fingers pointing out in judgement then you have 3 pointing back at you.. so this means take a look at yourself. Love yourself and allow yourself to grow.

5. Forgive yourself and forgive others

Forgiveness is about letting go of the pain that is festering inside of you.. when you can look deep within yourself and allow yourself to forgive not only others but most importantly yourself then you are on the road to healing yourself.

6. Love yourself and love others

This is a hard lesson for me and this is the icing on the cake for everything else... I realized one day... if I could just love people and love them for who they are not for what i wanted them to be.. then that would be significant.. also in turn if I could just love myself for who I am and not what I or others wantned me to be then that would be bliss.... so as I practice this I find as I was once so lonely inside... I no longer am.. I no longer have the days where I feel alone... I now have days of being by myself but I also know how I am very much loved... it's a flow between all of us and when we can do this... we begin to change the world.

A lot of times we know these points above ... we see them and we even nod our heads in agreement but it takes a huge experience of hitting the bottom before we can finally clearly see why these points are so important... this is when great change happens in our lives and this is when we really start to grow ...

This is when life begins....

Many blessings to all of you... Love you all,

Jeremy
